DONATION TO NEWPORT

HARD OF HEARING CLUB

FROM BOOK SALES

Thanks to the generosity of those who bought the first edition of "The Life and Secrets of Almina Carnarvon"  a donation of £150 has already  been given to Newport's Hard of Hearing Club, A further donation of at least  £200 will be made at the next meeting of the Club on 21 September 2011, making a minimum of £350 raised from sales of the book.

 

William Cross is very grateful to everyone concerned.  For now fund raising is complete. A grant has also been secured by the Club from the Lottery Fund for the remainder of 2011.

 

The Hard of Hearing Group meet in the  Newport Centre, Newport, South Wales, on the third Wednesday of each month,  between 2pm – 3.15pm,  with talks and visits a regular feature. All ages are very welcome to come along. The Group currently receives no support grant in 2011/12. Whist the room hire costs are met by the local authority, a charge is now levied for  cups of tea and also for the use of the PA system.
